Thanks for visiting! The impetus for the launching kevinjennings.com was the publication of my memoir Mama’s Boy, Preacher’s Son, which came out in hardcover in August 2006 and is now available in paperback. Mama’s Boy explains how I went from growing up in a fundamentalist evangelical home in the rural South to graduating from Harvard and founding a national organization dedicated to making sure schools are places where young people learn to value and respect everyone. It’s also the story of my relationship with my Mom, who outgrew the bigotry of her own upbringing to become one of my fiercest supporters. All that said… check out my blog for occasional postings about whatever is on my mind at the momemt (the fact that sometimes weeks go by and I don’t write anything may then be taken as a disturbing statement about how vacant my mind is, but it probably just means I’ve been too busy to write…)!
