The impetus for the launching kevinjennings.com is the publication of my memoir Mama’s Boy, Preacher’s Son, which came out in hardcover in August 2006 and is now avaliable in paperback. Mama’s Boy explains how I went from growing up in a fundamentalist evangelical home in the rural South to graduating from Harvard and founding a national organization dedicated to making sure schools are places where young people learn to value and respect everyone. It’s also the story of my relationship with my Mom, who outgrew the bigotry of her own upbringing to become one of my fiercest supporters. All that said… check out my blog for weekly postings!
